KR Club – Kite & Wing Camp Weekend Upcoming Dates: January 31 – February 1, 2026 February 21–22, 2026 March 21–22, 2026 Camp Overview:Get ready for an epic weekend chasing wind, waves, and good vibes! The camp officially kicks off Saturday morning at the campsite, but if the forecast allows, we’ll aim for a Friday afternoon session to get a head start. You’ll be back in Melbourne Sunday night, usually after 8 pm. Bring your own camping gear, or upgrade to cabins if you prefer a little extra comfort. What’s a Kite & Wing Camp Weekend? We chase the best wind around Victoria—common spots include Phillip Island, Sandy Point, Ocean Grove, and Inverloch. No wind? We’ll reschedule, but usually in summer there’s always a windy spot within 2 hours of Melbourne. The weekend includes: Full kiteboarding & wing foiling sessions, with demos and backup gear available Surfing or SUP if the wind takes a break Camping or optional cabin accommodation Meals: Saturday lunch & dinner, Sunday breakfast & lunch Who Can Join? Kiteboarders: at least 3 lessons (board starting level) Wing foilers: confident handling your wing and returning to shore on your knees Beginners get full support from KR Coaches, while intermediate and advanced riders have access to some of Victoria’s top riders to push your skills and share expert tips. Why You’ll Love It Social weekend with like-minded riders Improve your skills in a fun, supportive environment Fill gaps in your technique and gain confidence on the water Limited Spaces We cap the weekend at 18 participants with a 6:1 ratio (riders to instructor) to ensure maximum guidance and progression. Transport We’ll organize carpooling to keep it social and fun. Suggested contribution: $20 per driver. Free parking is available if you’re bringing your own ride. What to Bring Your kite or wing gear Camping essentials: tent, mattress, sleeping bag, appropriate seasonal clothing Cabin upgrades available for non-campers Cost $399 covers instructors, campsite fees, and all meals for the weekend. This is more than just a camp—it’s a wind-filled adventure, learning, and social experience all in one. Can’t wait to get out on the water with you! Insurance It’s a participation requirement to hold valid Kiteboarding Australia sanctioned insurance. This protects you every session you have but is a must for KR Club Activities.
