Without doubt, the dark subject matter of this twist of an iconic Walt Disney character is historic to a point where the Walt Disney Company are undoubtedly gunning for the Artist; and not in a complimentary way. Notwothstdnding, the composition of this piece is extraordinary. I have an eclectic collection of art covering many areas and yet this one always draws people in with either delight or absolute horror. I bought it due to a very personal meaning to me. The clarity, cleverness and mock violence of the piece is just outstanding. I have No 4 of 50 signed – and I can’t ever imagine giving it up; I have art that has increased in value by 1000% and will continue to do so, that I hide it away as I think it’s naff; Man Down is a piece you will want to display just for tge interest it will generate!
